Most Minecraft players love it when resource packs stay true to the normal graphics. The rotrBLOCKS texture pack also has clear similarities with the original look of the game. Accordingly, the style is very similar, but the textures look much better and more realistic. This is due to several reasons. The most noticeable is the higher resolution, which allows you to see much more details on the blocks. In fact, there are several different resolutions you can use.
I play with the second-best version because I get decent FPS with it. In fact, my computer has not been able to render all HD textures correctly on the most powerful version, which is why Minecraft has crashed. Honestly, this has never happened before, which indicates that the rotrBLOCKS texture pack is really realistic. I thought it was because of my hardware, but the problem was not my computer. The enormous file size of the 2048x pack was the big problem because no graphics card is powerful enough to render all high-resolution textures. So the development for 2048x was stopped because nobody was able to load the textures. However, you shouldn’t be afraid of getting lags or bugs now either, because usually everything works without any problems.
You are probably wondering what is so CPU intensive in the rotrBLOCKS texture pack. Mainly, it’s the outstanding POM and PBR textures that look amazing with a shader. In plain language, this means that the blocks have more depth and the surface has much more detail and indentation. The best way to see this is to get really close to a dirt block. There is also another feature and that is connected textures. Maybe you have seen this before in other packs. It is used to beautify the transitions between blocks. This makes the whole environment more harmonious and aesthetic.
Furthermore, it is positive to note that parts of the Replace of the Reality texture pack are free of charge. Therefore, you can download and install the project for free. If you have a really good PC, you can also consider a Patreon membership, because there you will get the extreme resolutions that will push your graphics card to its limit. You should try the 256x edition to see if your computer is capable of rendering such realistic textures.
By the way, the creator says about his work that he has created 80% of the pack content completely by himself and only uses occasional images from the internet. He also plans to release a mod that changes the entire GUI.

How to install the rotrBLOCKS Texture Pack
To make the rotrBLOCKS texture pack look like the screenshots you have to do a few things in advance. The pack won’t look as nice on you if you don’t follow the complete tutorial.
1. The very first thing you need to do is install Optifine and the BSL shader. This shader pack is recommended by the developer because it is well-optimized and supports POM/PBR. After the installation, you have to go to the surface settings in the shader options and activate parallax occlusion mapping.
2. Now install the rotrBLOCKS texture pack. Just click on the download button for the free version, whereas for the paid versions you need to subscribe to the Patreon profile of the creator.
3. After that, go to resource packs in the Minecraft options and open the pack folder. Move the rotrBLOCKS file into this folder. You have to be very careful because you have to unpack the file. In the ZIP file are different packs. You need all of them in Minecraft.
4. Now you have to activate the packs in Minecraft in this order: The base back at the bottom, then the CTM pack in the middle, and all other packs at the top. It may take a while to load everything because your PC has to load many texture packs at once.
A little overview so you don’t get confused:
- Base is the main pack that adds new textures and works without Optifine.
- HQ is an add-on that modifies vegetation and modes so that there are more three-dimensional textures.
- CTM is an add-on for the connected textures feature of Optifine.

Summary
rotrBLOCKS makes Minecraft more realistic, but keeps the vanilla style. You will be surprised how many details are visible on the blocks.
Mud blocks don’t have a texture. I put everything as instructed with the latest version. Is it not complete?
I do not know when you left the comment, but the Mud texture was added in V31 this month
Is there no version for Minecraft Bedrock?
I did everything well but when it rains I don’t have any effects and not even rain. It just rains on the water; is it normal?
You probably deactivated the rain in the options.
put everything in the right order but still no 3d effect
didn’t use the shader, does it matter?
You need the PBR shaders for the rotrBLOCKS 3D blocks.
there are yellow lines around every block, what did i do wrong?
are all the textures completed? coz i have unchanged wooden tools and stuff and all the mobs? a few are
done
I downloaded shader and have optifine. I did everything right. but in the blocks folder, there’s a bunch of other folders not just 3? such as items, design, plants, etc. What I do with these and not all the textures have worked? leafs and the creepers are all I notice.
EDIT: I noticed more blocks become realistic, but creepers are sorta glitchy
god
im not getting the 3d effects like it shows
You must follow the instructions. If you do that, then everything will certainly work.
