The user Misode played a crucial role in bringing this bug to the attention of the Minecraft Trails and Tales developers. In the bug report, Misode outlined the steps to reproduce the issue in version 1.20.3. The reproduction steps involved entering survival mode, placing a decorated pot, inserting items into the pot, leaving and reopening the world, and finally breaking the pot with a sword. Notably, this process could result in the loss of items, with inconsistent drops observed in some instances.
