How To Install 1.21 Shaders in Minecraft Tricky Trials

As with any major update, it takes a bit of time for the Minecraft shaders mod 1.21 to get updated. However, the process has sped up significantly compared to earlier versions like 1.20. In the past, there was only the GLSL mod, but now you have several loader options. During the snapshot, pre-release, and release candidate versions of Minecraft, OptiKai is recommended. This is a fan version of OptiFine 1.21 (both versions can be downloaded on the OptiFine page) that becomes compatible with new Minecraft versions much faster than the original. So, start with this unofficial version and later switch to the official OptiFine for shader installation.

But there’s an even better alternative. If you only want to install shaders in Minecraft 1.21 and can do without OptiFine’s other optimizations, you should definitely use the Iris shaders 1.21 mod. It’s the current market leader, like Apple in mobile phones. Iris is built from the ground up to be modern and now works with the best 1.21 shaders. It’s pretty impressive considering the project started just a few years ago.
