How To Install Visible Ores Texture Pack
Here’s a tutorial on installing Visible Ores in Minecraft Java Edition. If you’re using Minecraft Bedrock Edition and the pack is available for Bedrock/MCPE, you can simply click on the downloaded file to install it.
- Download and install OptiFine, as it is required by most texture packs.
- Download the Visible Ores texture pack for Minecraft from the file section below. Pick the file that matches your Minecraft edition and version.
- Launch Minecraft.
- Click "Options" on the main menu.
- In the options, go to the submenu “Resource Packs”.
- Click "Open Pack Folder" at the bottom left to see a folder titled "resourcepacks".
- Put the downloaded ZIP file into your "resourcepacks" folder. Or, just drag and drop it into the Minecraft window to add the pack.
- You will see the pack on the left side of the resource pack selection menu. Unzip the file if you can't see the pack.
- Hover over the pack thumbnail and click the arrow pointing right. If the game notifies you that the pack is made for a newer or older Minecraft version, simply click “Yes” to proceed. Most textures will still work.
- Click "Done" and all assets have been loaded.
Before You Start: Required Settings
Java Edition players need OptiFine installed to apply the following settings:
- Load Order: Visible Ores must be at the top of your active resource packs list.
- Emissive Textures: Set to ON in Options → Video Settings → Quality.
- Connected Textures: Set to Fancy or Fast in Options → Video Settings → Quality.
- Shaders: For the best glowing ores shown above, install Complementary Shaders and enable: Options → Video Settings → Shaders → Shader Pack Settings → Materials → IntegratedPBR+ Materials → Glowing Ores → Enable Glowing Ores: ON
Alternatively, you can use the Fabric mods Iris, Continuity, and Indium instead of OptiFine.

I just downloaded the packs and followed all the steps.
But… I play on Bedrock (on the pc) with my girlfriend (playstation). But.. step 4 isn’t in my screen/video’s settings.
”Enable glowing textures there. Also, select “fancy” or “fast” for connected textures. It’s best to choose the latter if you use a bad graphics card.”
I can’t.. How? Please help! The pack is so cool!
okay u play on Bedrock Edition which has its own pack if u are using the pack u downloaded form the link under the heading “Bedrock Edition, Minecraft PE and MCPE:” u just have to double click it (the file should me ‘.mcpack’ ) it will open minecraft itself and start installing automayically…. now u just have to open you resource pack option in the settings and apply the pack

gold ore, ancient debris, nether quartz ore and deepslate variants do not have highlights. Was looking to see if there is a fix for this. I play on Minecraft bedrock on my laptop. Thanks!
how do you make it glow like in the video? whenever i use it, it just highlights the ores. any solutions?
You need to install one of the recommended shaders. The shaders make the ores glow.

do you fix it? I have the same problem here before changing to 1.20 I can use this texture pack without any shader I only use the resource pack no shader and the highlights and the glow seems fine, but after 1.20 there is no glow only highlight that shows up
I keep getting “OpenGL error 1282 Invalid Operation” when using this texture pack. I use Lunar client with Optifine 1.20.1. Any known fixes? I have tried updating my Java and GPU. Also manually added a DLL to Javas’ bin file.

When I put in the texture pack the floor glitches and I can see through it and it also happens when I’m mining.

It works on Bedrock, but the ores don’t glow because you need java shader for that.
And which one would that be?
This is way better than xray, in my opinion.
