ModernArch Texture Pack 1.20, 1.20.4 → 1.19.4

Author Designio Graphics

With its high-resolution textures, custom 3D models, and support for shaders, the ModernArch texture pack has gained followers all over the world. It was developed by two Minecraft fans from Designio Graphics. The primary focus is on the modern interior of your Minecraft building, which will undergo significant optimization. However, the high-resolution textures are not the only highlight; custom 3D models are also included. These meticulously designed models add depth to the game, allowing you to create stunning interiors and intricate structures. Whether you’re building a cozy living room or a sleek modern skyscraper, the custom 3D blocks in ModernArch will bring your vision to life.

Another impressive aspect of the ModernArch Realism texture pack is its use of physically based rendering (PBR) materials. By incorporating various texture maps, the pack controls how different materials react to light. From the reflective surfaces of smooth quartz to the roughness of wood planks, the new PBR materials add realism to every block and item. They have been fully utilized within the limits of what is possible. Real-life pictures served as templates for all the blocks, and you can certainly perceive that. The shapes and textures provide a sense of being in the real world rather than a blocky video game. Moreover, the vibrant colors do an excellent job as well.

Immerse Yourself in Realism with Shaders and POM Support

ModernArch also supports parallax occlusion mapping (POM), which adds a 3D effect to flat surfaces. This feature enhances the visual appeal of blocks and makes them appear more realistic and tactile. With POM/PBR support, you’ll feel like you can reach out and touch the blocks in Minecraft.

To fully appreciate the stunning visuals of ModernArch, it is recommended to use shaders, such as the SEUS PTGI shaders. Shaders provide advanced lighting and shadow effects, as well as realistic reflections. While ModernArch can be used without shaders, many of its features are optimized for shader usage, enhancing the overall Minecraft gameplay.

Bringing Realism to Biomes

Furthermore, the Modern Arch texture pack enhances Minecraft’s biomes, starting with the desert biome. Here, the sand blocks take on a softer and more lifelike appearance. Cactus now boasts intricate details, adding to the overall realism. With the addition of the shaders, the brightness of the sand is enhanced. Notably, blocks like iron and gold have received high-detail textures that beautifully reflect sunlight, making structures such as temples incredibly realistic. Additionally, the tools, such as shovels and pickaxes, have received a reflection upgrade.

Venturing into the Nether, you’ll be also treated to an impressive lighting overhaul. Netherrack blocks combined with magma create a captivating ambiance as the light elegantly reflects off the floor. Among the standout features of the Nether is the meticulously designed glowstone, with its incredibly high resolution. The Modern Arch texture pack truly shines in its ability to transform even the most intense and fiery environments into visually stunning landscapes.

Returning to the overworld, it’s time for you to explore caves and experience the revamped nighttime lighting. For example, torch textures have been swapped for modern lights. The caves become more captivating with the addition of new realistic ores, arguably the most visually appealing blocks in this pack.

Download all resolutions

ModernArch offers different resolution options to suit your hardware capabilities. The highest resolution, 1024x, is perfect for cinematics and screenshots, but may not be suitable for gameplay due to the heavy FPS drops. This version costs $5. The 512x and 256x resolutions for $2 provide a balance between visual fidelity and performance, while the free 128x resolution offers a vanilla-like experience with improved textures. Please note that these are monthly prices. However, you can cancel your Patreon subscription at any time or download only the free version. By the way, it’s important to note that the ModernArch resource pack is still under development. Consequently, more and more assets are being added to make the pack even more realistic. Designio Graphics is dedicated to delivering the highest quality textures and updates the pack monthly to ensure ongoing improvements. With a background in procedural materials, they utilize Adobe Substance 3D Designer to achieve lifelike textures that rival real-world materials.

Although reducing the render distance may be necessary for optimal performance, the stunning changes make it worth the slight adjustment. 1. I ran my computer on this and my computer started to make the sound of a jet engine with 1 trillion decimals killing all of humanity then my computer literally said like spoke and said i can’t take this then it exploded destroying the whole multiverse

    • As described in the article, the free version has a lower resolution, which is why the graphics look different. You’ll get the best quality with the premium version.

  3. Honestly, for just getting the standard free one it’s worth the look of it. Some items aren’t done/out for free? but even with what you have available, it looks amazing! The creator is epic for putting this much work behind it, and if you want the 256x to 1024x it’s not that much and very much worth the price. Though again from what I know the project is still in the works, and they keep adding more very nice textured stuff. Can’t wait for them to update more

  4. Gating a ressource pack behind a pay wall seems like the most retarded idea ever, but whatever, enjoy your money from other people, ya ain’t getting mine

  5. What IS complete on this texture pack looks nice, but the minority of blocks actually have a different texture to vanilla. railways look horrible with this pack since normal rail is textured, whereas other rail types aren’t. somehow you also forgot wood and stone swords, also netherite. could be a lot better

  6. when i click on download… it opens up the google drive page which is said
Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist
    explain that
