Minecraft 1.20.4 Hotfix

The highlight of the Minecraft 1.20.4 update is the resolution of a critical bug identified as MC-267185. This was no ordinary glitch because it had the potential to disrupt your in-game life in offline and online worlds. The bug was reported on Mojang's Official Issue Tracker and promptly addressed due to its severity.

The user Misode played a crucial role in bringing this bug to the attention of the Minecraft Trails and Tales developers. In the bug report, Misode outlined the steps to reproduce the issue in version 1.20.3. The reproduction steps involved entering survival mode, placing a decorated pot, inserting items into the pot, leaving and reopening the world, and finally breaking the pot with a sword. Notably, this process could result in the loss of items, with inconsistent drops observed in some instances. The swift response from the Mojang developers underscores the importance of community engagement in Minecraft.

By the way, 1.20.4 even fixed the heart on the side of the pot. As players noticed the fixed heart, reactions ranged from sentimental to comedic. Some exclaimed, “Our pots are healing, just like our hearts!” while others joked, “Finally, our pots can wear their hearts on their sleeves, or sides”.

How To Install a 1.20.4 Texture Pack

  1. To use all the cool features in a Minecraft 1.20.4 texture pack, download and install OptiFine 1.20.4.
  2. Download the 1.20.4 texture pack for Minecraft from our list. Pick the file that matches your Minecraft edition and version.
  3. Launch Minecraft 1.20.4.
  4. Click "Options" on the main menu.
  5. In the options, go to the submenu “Resource Packs”.
