The Animated RGB GUI texture pack lets you add cool RGB lighting to Minecraft. This style is super popular among gamers, with some even designing their entire setups around dynamic lighting. The trend has grown so much that you can now find RGB keyboards, mice, controllers, headsets, and even PC cases. Seeing this high demand, developer CrisXolt had the fantastic idea to bring this flashy design to Minecraft just for fun.
When you install the pack, you’ll immediately notice the dark mode menu items. However, when you hover over the buttons, they’ll light up with an animated outline that constantly shifts colors. Unfortunately, this feature is exclusive to the Java Edition, as testing on mobile (iOS and Android) showed no changes to the main menu.
On the bright side, both Java and Bedrock players can enjoy the same GUI effects during gameplay. The hotbar seamlessly transitions through a rainbow of colors, and the inventory buttons have a darkened background to enhance the glowing effect. The bright animated XP bar and level numbers are also RGB and regularly change colors.
On top of that, the RGB resource pack also changes the inventory screen, with both the interface and the player skin outlined in a pulsating color animation. This feature applies to all inventory screens, including colorful containers on PC and mobile versions.
If you love bold, chromatic visuals, this pack is for you. The project has grown over time and now features 40 frames, which are displayed in smooth, continuous transitions. Check out the screenshots below to see how it compares to vanilla Minecraft, and then try it in your own game world!

- Click "Done" and all assets have been loaded.
If you’re using OptiFine, be sure to enable the “Textures Animated” setting in the options to see the amazing wave effect in action. While we recommend installing the pack with OptiFine for the best result on the Java Edition, you can also use Fabric with the Animatica Mod as an alternative. For Minecraft PE (Pocket Edition), things are much simpler. You don’t need any additional add-ons, because you can download the pack and jump right in!
