How to install Texture Packs on Windows 10

The Java version is obviously not the only one that can have additional content created by the community. There are three other versions: the Windows 10 version (which you are currently viewing), the iOS version and Android version. They are all three parts of Bedrock, the cross-platform edition that brings together a large number of important devices.

Today we will show you how to install an addon on the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft. There are two installation methods, one is automatic and the other is manual. But the in-game part is the same.

Installing a Texture Pack with .mcpack

1. Go to our section for Windows 10 Texture Packs and download a pack you like.

2. If you get a Texture Pack with ".mcpack" and with a Minecraft logo: Windows 10 Edition, click on them. If the game is already launched it will directly lead the importation, otherwise it will launch itself and will automatically start the importation.

Installing a Texture Pack with .zip or .rar

1. Go to our section for Windows 10 Texture Packs and download a pack you like.

2. Extract the Texture Pack file with 7-Zip or Winrar to the following location: C:\Users\Name of User\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\resource_packs.

Sometimes the resource_packs folder doesn't exist. In this case you must first create the folder.

3. Start the Minecraft Windows 10 version. Then click "Settings". Go to the "Global Resources" section in the sidebar and activate the texture pack.
Congratulations, you have successfully completed the installation and are now enjoying Minecraft more. We hope that everything went smoothly for you too. If you have a question, either watch the YouTube video of the installation or write a comment.
