The Huahwi texture pack is one of the most legendary PvP packs ever made. It first came out back in the days of Minecraft 1.8.9, the version many players still call the ultimate PvP edition. That makes this optimized pack a real piece of Minecraft history. Of course, you can also use it in newer Minecraft versions today. The name comes from YouTuber Huahwi, who became popular for his Survival Games and UHC videos.

Unlike many newer packs that only tweak swords or armor, the Huahwi pack goes much further. Not only were PvP items retextured, but also a wide range of blocks and items. This makes it feel like a complete resource pack instead of just a lazy remix of items.

Huahwi InFinite 16x Texture Pack

It’s important to know that Huahwi released different versions of his pack. One of them is the Huahwi InFinite 16x, designed for UHC, BedWars, and SkyWars. It changes nearly every corner of your world. You’ll see recolored chests, ores with clear outlines, new particle effects, redesigned tools, and even animated items like ender eyes or slimeballs. The pack also updates the inventory, enchanting menu, and attack indicator to make your PvP experience cleaner.

One of the standout features is the good performance. With its 16×16 resolution, it runs perfectly even on weaker PCs and laptops. The graphics still keep that classic Minecraft feel. It may not look as realistic as modern packs like RealisCraft or Luna HD, but that’s exactly the charm. Huahwi’s edit delivers simple and classic PvP textures that bring back the old-school vibe without making the game feel heavy. With extras like low fire, star particles, and shorter sword blades, it remains a favorite among players. You can also pair it with smaller resource packs like Clear Glass, Clear Water, or No Pumpkin Blur. These add-ons help you keep a clear view and make sure nothing blocks your vision in the middle of a fight.

Official Huahwi PvP Texture Pack

After the huge success of his first packs, the American YouTuber decided to release another edit called the official Huahwi Pack 64x. As the name suggests, this version bumps the resolution up to 64×64, giving you way more detailed textures. One of the most noticeable changes is the diamond armor. It finally looks properly blue instead of greenish, so you can instantly tell what armor an opponent is wearing. That’s super important, because imagine thinking your enemy only has weaker gear when they’re actually fully stacked with diamonds.

Another smart PvP tweak is the fishing rod. Normally the bobber is neutral in color, but here it’s bright red. The bobber is the part of the rod you throw into the water, but in PvP it’s often used to push enemies back or start combos. Thanks to the red coloring, it’s much easier to land those hits and gain an edge. It may be a small change, but it really makes a difference. And if you don’t mind going full unfair, you could check out the XRay texture pack to use with Huahwi’s pack. With it you can spot players, netherite, diamonds, and other ores or dungeons in seconds. It’s wild, but keep in mind it’s banned on every major server.

When it comes to food, Huahwi didn’t create new textures from scratch. Instead, some of them were taken from a pack called Defscape. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it. For example, golden apples got a fresh shading style. Potions also have cool, colorful effects, and all particles in general look eye-catching without being overwhelming.

One last thing you should know is that the original creator has been inactive for years. That means there are no official updates anymore. Still, fans have kept the pack alive by porting it to newer Minecraft versions. On top of that, there are always new revamp packs popping up online with slightly changed colors, blocks, and items. While all Huahwi texture packs were originally made for Java Edition, some unofficial ports are now available for Bedrock Edition. Just be aware that those ports can sometimes have small bugs. For the smoothest experience, we recommend sticking to Minecraft versions 1.8 through 1.12 on PC.

Huahwi was released on November 26, 2015 and is compatible with these Minecraft versions: 1.21 - 1.9.4 - 1.9 - 1.8.9 - 1.8 - 1.7.10 - 1.7.2
