Minecraft 26.1 Texture Packs

Minecraft 26.1 is a game drop called Tiny Takeover, and Mojang delivered one of the more visually interesting updates in a while with the first drop of 2026. If they hadn’t changed the versioning system, this would’ve been 1.22 update. If you’re looking to freshen up your world, Minecraft 26.1 texture packs are exactly where you want to start. New mobs, reworked textures, and updated blocks look completely different with the right resource pack. There’s no better time to switch things up.

The biggest feature of this update is the baby mob overhaul. Almost every baby mob got brand new models and textures. Baby wolves, cats, horses, pigs, foxes, pandas, and llamas all look way cuter and more detailed than before. If you want a pack that supports these new animal textures, make sure to check compatibility before downloading. Every pack on our list already runs on resource pack format 84.0, the official standard for 26.1, so we’ve already done that work for you.

Another addition worth knowing about is the craftable golden dandelion. You can feed it to a baby mob to stop it from growing up, and feed it another one to let it age again. It works on passive baby mobs only though, so don’t bother trying it on baby zombies or baby villagers. It fits really well into fantasy or survival style packs visually. Mojang also added official support for translucent block textures this update, which gives pack creators way more freedom with glass, water, and similar blocks. A lot of packs are already taking advantage of this and you notice it immediately.

Not every 26.1 resource pack you find online actually works though. Some don’t load properly, others cause visual glitches or just crash the game entirely. That’s why we go through every single pack before it makes it onto this page. We test all Minecraft 26.1 texture packs ourselves and only list the ones that hold up in real gameplay. No broken packs, no buggy messes. Just packs we’ve actually played and stand behind. Browse the list and download a few so you can switch between them whenever you feel like it. All packs also work with versions 26.1.1 and 26.1.2!
