We have seen so many texture packs and other cool add-ons that can be useful in your Minecraft world. However, those packs have been overshadowed by a new project called the Actions and Stuff texture pack. In brief explanation, it is a popular add-on that provides cool stuff and animation to players, mobs, and items. However, it only works with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. You can simply visit the marketplace and purchase this mod pack using Minecoins.

While texture packs, maps, and character packs introduce interesting elements to Minecraft’s world, Action & Stuff enhances gameplay by adding animations for the game’s visuals. You will discover a completely new Minecraft world with improved physics, fluid movement, and engaging impressions. You don’t have to worry about the achievement because this pack is an official pack, not a cheat like XRay, creative mode, or behavior pack. Furthermore, you will still learn from the game after installing this one.

Revolution in Minecraft Player Animation

You already realize how stiff the player’s movement is in the game. While the design is suitable for Minecraft as a whole, you will soon notice that the movement is too rigid as you explore the Overworld, especially if you like the type of games with more realistic movement. The animation improves your exploration experience, and there are some new animations that you will find fascinating.

Movement Animation in Actions & Stuff Texture Pack

The regular jogging animation is now more realistic. It is not like the player is flying anymore, as it has bouncy physics now. Crouching also gets more fluid as the player uses the knees instead of swinging the entire legs forward and backward. What makes it even cooler is that the sprinting animation now comes with a dust trail in each step, showing how fast you are going. Going a step further, you can jump while sprinting, and the animation is really smooth.

However, that is not all. Remember how the player looks while crawling? It is like sliding on an ice surface. Well, it is definitely weird, but the Actions and Stuff texture pack changes that. Now, he will crawl on his hands and knees, just like how normal people do.

Another new movement animation is when you swim. Originally, the movement was very rigid, but it changed completely now. You can also see the difference between swimming and diving animations, which are so smooth as the body tilts slightly rather than remaining flat like a plank. The flying animation also changes slightly as the player’s arms move slightly outward. When falling, the arms and legs move violently, adding realistic feelings to the scene.

Eating & Drinking Animation

The animation for eating depends on the foods you eat. Some foods, such as fish and meat, now feature disintegration animations. That means, it doesn’t disappear immediately while holding a complete object in hands. It is gradually gone, giving a more fluid animation. However, it can only be seen clearly from the third-person perspective (F5 mode). Other foods, such as soup, kelp, or berries, don’t look very different from the original one. You should definitely check out the Actions and Stuff texture pack and look into the animation changes.

Now for the drinking part, it also follows the same progressive animation. The liquid in the potion bottle, for example, won’t be gone immediately. It will look exactly like the real world as it will be depleted slowly.

After eating and drinking, there will be an animation based on the effects it has. For example, if you are healed, the player will display a flashing animation. When it receives a power-up, a shiny circle will rise up. With those animations, you can now use visual cues or indications to see which buffs you get.

PvP Animation in Actions and Stuff Texture Pack

Though Minecraft is a chill game, it does include combat against other players here and there, making it an inseparable part of the game itself. With additional fluid animations, Actions and Stuff gives the excitement of PvP into another level. For example, yielding a bow now has an indicator showing that it is fully charged with particles and stretched string. When you release the arrow, you will see particles. The third-person animation is even more fascinating, especially when you are drawing a bow and releasing an arrow.

When you have the legendary weapon the trident, the animation looks much better than in the vanilla Minecraft version, especially when throwing it. Swordplay also looks so much better in Actions & Stuff resource pack since you don’t swing the sword like a robot in an up-and-down motion only. It also comes in sideways movements, which enhances the animation into the better. Another type of tool that brings new features is the axe. It has a custom animation for chopping trees and when you are carrying it around.

When we are talking about carrying things around, this pack allows you to carry a lantern. It is a unique way to light up your journey, but unfortunately it lacks dynamic lighting. This means it won’t illuminate the blocks around you. At the very least, it is properly held, which is cool from the third-person perspective.

Beyond the Player: Animating the Minecraft World

Actions & Stuff really offers some fascinating animations for player movements. However, it does more than just animate the player. It also adds new dynamism to the world. Items such as buckets now have a throwing animation when they are in the air. It rotates randomly in the air before hitting the ground. The potion effects are also accented by colorful particle effects. These additions bring a more immersive and visually appealing environment on the table, making the player feel more connected to the game world, especially at night when it shines brightly.

Still talking about the particle, you will notice that the fire and smoke now follow the mob, object, or player rather than staying still in the same location. The water particle has also been enhanced. When you jump into the water, you can see a splash of water. However, the animation is not very accurate because it has the same size of impact regardless of the height you jump out from.

Previously, we have already discussed how the Action & Stuff pack has better physics than the vanilla version. It is more noticeable when you carry around a bucket of water. When you walk or run, the water in the bucket moves around like it has an inertia effect.

Mobs with Panic Reactions

The world is not only just about the player and their items. It is also about the mobs that will follow you throughout your exploration. There are so many changes that make the mobs look even better. However, don’t be distracted because they still have a deadly punch.

Passive and neutral mobs, which don’t retaliate when they are hit, have panic reactions. This means that after being hit, they will flee as their natural response. For example, the chickens will jump and flap their wings before fleeing, while the Armadillo will curl into a square before standing up again. Many other animals also have their own response yet have less dramatic escapes, and it is still interesting to watch them having a natural reaction towards a hit.

Taming Animation

If you are having trouble knowing whether you succeeded in taming a specific animal or not, this animation will definitely help. With Action & Stuff pack installed, you can tell it has been tamed by the love animation and smile when the animal comes to you. This way, you can be sure that you have succeeded in taming them.

Movement Animation in Actions and Stuff

Just like the player, the mobs have unique animations that is different from one to another. Take an example, the Enderman. He walks more gracefully and has flashier and glitchy effects. Another example is Ghast, the floating jellyfish ghost whose tentacles are more fluid now than before.

The Combat Animation

It is fun to see that the mobs now have combat animations. For example, the Ghast will spit a fireball which is refined and looks like a meteor, and it is still deadly. Any type of mob with projectiles receives a revamped animation, either with curved trajectory, wind trail, smokes, or many other particles, making them visually more attractive to players and they are just fun to see.

Actions & Stuff is more than just a texture pack or mod.  It is a revolution in Minecraft animation, and it is no wonder why so many people have downloaded it since its first beta release. It is a shame that this add-on only works with the Bedrock edition, which means it is only applicable to mobile and console players only. If you are playing on Java or PC, don’t worry because you are not out of luck. There is still an alternative to the Action & Stuff called Fresh Animations texture pack, which you can download from this website.
